Joyce Boakye has revealed that her marriage broke down after colleagues Tracey Boakye and Gloria Kani lied to her husband that she had an affair with another man.
A few weeks ago, a video leaked showing a Kumawood actress having a ‘good time’ with a guy in a bathroom.
The actress was later identified as Joyce Boakye and the video turned out to be a scene from an upcoming movie they were shooting.
However, according to the actress, her husband who is an elderly gentleman did not buy it as acting because some of her own friends told him it was real and not acting.
Boakye said she thought Tracey and Kani, both of whom are in the movie, were her friends but instead they stabbed her in the back by lying to her husband that the so-called scene was real and that she had been in an affair.
Due to their lies, her husband whom she’s been married to for nine years decided to end everything and call for divorce.
There’s an old adage that the ant that bites you comes from your own cloth. Boakye seems to have found that out the hard way via the betrayal of her so-called friends.
